MESSAGE FROM THE SKIN HERBALIST

There has been an explosion in eczema and dermatitis skin complaints over the past 40 years. More and more people are presenting with irritated, dry skin, rashes, redness, itching and blistering as well as cracked skin.

For me, it has been a great pleasure to have met people over the years with nasty skin complaints and who have found comfort from our hand-made soap.

WHY AVOCADO?

In my humble opinion this very highly therapeutic oil contains proteins, amino acids, vitamins and, of course, wonderful LECITHINS I would actually describe as a skin food!

Highly moisturising, with nature’s healing properties, it helps to regenerate skin cells and softens the skin overall.

Organic avocado oil seems to deeply penetrate the skin which accelerates healing, softening and, of course, hydrating the skin.

Skin Herbalist Avocado Oil is a natural HUMECTANT, therefore preventing the skin from drying out.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF AVOCADO OIL?

Vitamin A has multiple functions and helps growth and development.

Vitamin B helps reduce redness, scales and other skin irritations.

Vitamin B1 thiamin, this is an excellent anti-oxidant, helping blood flow.

Vitamin B2 riboflavin, helps to keep the skin healthy.

Vitamin D, helps repair skin damage.

Vitamin E, helps prevent the skin from inflammation and itch.

LECITHINS, these are natural emulsifiers which are also skin-feeding nutrients.

PROTEINS, these are, obviously, made up of amino acids which mainly help and maintain elasticity and firmness of the skin.

WHY UNSCENTED?

ESSENTIAL OILS AND ALERGENS

Whilst essential oils are natural, unfortunately they do contain allergens, which is the natural constituents of essential oils.

WARNING: If you suffer from allergies, it’s vital to know which allergens you need to avoid. Alternatively, you can opt for unscented, non-essential oils, no allergens.

WHAT IS ECZEMA?
Dermatitis, also known as eczema, whilst I am not a trained dermatologist and have no orthodox medical background, I am just a humble herbalist, after meeting people who suffer from this complaint has led me to research and gain understanding about this nasty skin complaint.

Eczema may result from a combination of malfunctions in the body’s immune system, an inflammation of the skin with clear common symptoms of dryness, itching, swelling, redness, blisters, crusting, cracking of the skin, and more.
Detergents and fragrances and, of course, stress also contribute or kick-start dermatitis.

Used by many eczema sufferers, and here is what Julie said
I used Skin Herbalist soap for my eczema and I could not believe how effective it was. It stopped the itch and the awful dryness in my skin. To me it honestly was a Godsend.
Thank you Skin Herbalist.”

ONLY THE VERY BEST
Purchasing the very best avocado oil is the key to gaining all the properties. The very important first pressing extracted through cold presses method (without chemical methods) is unrefined and retains the flavour, colour, as well as all the vitamins and minerals. Whereas avocado oil used for application in many skin care products is sadly usually refined, bleached and de-odorised, resulting in an odourless, nasty yellow oil, may not provide all the good benefits that unrefined would.

THE KEY WORDS WHEN PURCHASING AVOCADO OIL ARE;
ORGANIC – EXTRA VIRGIN – UNREFINED – COLD PRESSED

Skin Herbalist only uses first pressing (extra virgin), unrefined and organic oils, the highest grade quality oil,
“Only the best for our soap.”

Our skin holds our bodies together, shielding us from the rigours of the outside world. It really is our protective covering, our first barrier to fight illness and disease and a passageway to our bloodstream.
